Materials and techniques: All Tavassi Capri ceramic collections are created using the double firing method: the first transforms raw clay into terracotta and the second, which is carried out after glazing and decorating with lead-free colors and glazes for food at 940 degrees Celsius.
Artistic lightings expresses the creative wave of the ceramist. Here the ceramic works will be enclosed which are not part of the collections inspired by the places of Capri, but are the result of impulses and suggestions that dominate the artist's mind and soul.
You will find the novelties that arise from personal experiences, travels, encounters and long walks through the streets of the island. This set of plates, appetizer trays, glasses and planters that evoke the wrought iron decorations of the Capri gates forged by the island's blacksmiths took shape from long walks through the alleys of Capri.
The delicate brushstrokes of the ceramist Gennaro Tavassi have recreated and paid homage to the geometry and shapes of these iron works of art which, in addition to delimiting public and private property, testify to the existence of this craft today.
On the creamy white background of serving plates and dishes, sinuous shapes and dark blue decorations unravel and intertwine. The same lines personalise glasses and vases.
The ceramic plates are available in different shapes and sizes: oval, round, priest's hat-like, plates and bowls. They can be combined or sold individually.
The lampi d'artista collection contains and adapts to the creative flow of the artist who in this case has given life to creations that recall the decorations of wrought iron gates.
With this set of handmade ceramic plates, your table becomes the gateway to a world of goodness and conviviality.
Do you notice small imperfections? It is a sign of uniqueness!
The item shipped may not be the same as the one in the picture. Gennaro Tavassi’s Capri ceramics are handmade and apparent anomalies are the result of craftmanship based on a fundamental principle: no object is identical.
Each creation is always different and therefore unique.
