Materials and techniques: All Tavassi Capri ceramic collections are created using the double firing method: the first transforms raw clay into terracotta and the second, which is carried out after glazing and decorating with lead-free colors and glazes for food at 940 degrees Celsius.
The Tragara Tavassi Capri line is perfect for setting the sea-style table. It takes shape from the fairytale atmosphere that can be experienced in via Tragara. Along this promenade the boungavilles climb up the walls, the historic villas of artists and writers carve out the sky with their eclectic geometries.
Then there is the viewpoint on the Faraglioni which marks the end of the journey but represents the most beautiful surprise. At night, however, via Tragara is tinged with romance and mystery.
In the Tragara by Night line, plates, glasses, bowls, bottles and cruets are decorated with stylized white fish with dark or colored stripes. The specimens swim on black and blue backgrounds crossed by lines that resemble the waves of the sea. As in the day version, the fish abandon their typical features and take on geometric contours and, sometimes, invade the edges of the plate. Here we have used a glaze that fires at low temperatures giving a matte effect.
The Tavassi Capri Tragara line in its night version is made up of a set of serving plates and dinner dishes available in different shapes and sizes: oval, round, squared, priest's hat-like, plates and bowls. They can be combined or sold individually.
With the Tragara by Day and by Night lines, the table becomes a work of art destined to enchant diners and change the face of lunch and dinner as would a change of elegant dress.
Do you notice small imperfections? It is a sign of uniqueness!
The item shipped may not be the same as the one in the picture. Gennaro Tavassi’s Capri ceramics are handmade and apparent anomalies are the result of craftmanship based on a fundamental principle: no object is identical.
Each creation is always different and therefore unique.
