Camerelle

Via Camerella is the island’s walkway par excellence. Along this road and just a few minutes from ‘Piazzetta di Capri’ there are fashion brand boutiques and craft shops which have made the Capri style famous throughout the world. During the day it is a riot of colors, at night the lights from the shop windows illuminate it and enchant the international public on new trends.

Via Camerelle also has a less worldly and more authentic face to it but to find it out you have to pay attention to details. These less evident but meaningful aspects nourish the creativity of the ceramist Gennaro Tavassi.

An example? The Capri majolica which gives a touch of personality and typicality to homes and shops. The Camerelle Tavassi Capri line comes to life from ceramic tiles.

And here the decorations of Capri majolica are reproduced on dinner dishes and serving plates. The White background, in fact, is divided by colored segments that recall the different decorations typical of Capri ceramic tiles.

The Tavassi Capri Camerelle line is also enriched with a set of brushed plates that can, on request, be coordinated with mats and can also be combined with majolica plates, achieving a perfect chromatic and decorative balance.

Planters and bowls

Both, the serving plates and dinner dishes are accompanied by decorated bowls and flower boxes in the background on which the decoration of Capri’s majolica is reproduced. The line also includes Capri-style ceramic tiles as an ornamental object.
